Material & Craftsmanship

The stand is made from handcrafted Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) — the hardest and densest bamboo species, known for exceptional compressive strength and low moisture absorption. Moso bamboo is sustainably sourced to FSC standard (Forest Stewardship Council) — grown without pesticides, regenerates itself after harvesting, and binds more CO₂ than any comparable tree. The surface is sealed with a water-based, low-VOC clear lacquer — no solvent odor, no off-gassing indoors.

The characteristic animal silhouette shape — with rounded ears, a curved waist, and a stable foot profile — is milled from a single piece of bamboo. The height adjustment works via a precision metal screw system in corrosion-resistant zinc die-cast — adjustable in three defined settings, without tools, with a single hand movement.

The bowls are made from stoneware ceramic, fired at 1260 °C — with a water absorption rate of under 0.5%, which physically prevents bacteria and odors from penetrating the material. Tested to EN 12875 and EU Regulation 10/2011 — completely free of lead, cadmium, and heavy metals. Dishwasher-safe, scratch-resistant, permanently hygienic.
