Material & Craftsmanship

The outer shell is made from 600D Oxford high-performance fabric — a robust, tightly woven synthetic fabric originally developed for technical protective clothing. It is abrasion-resistant, shape-stable, and tested for over 100 harmful substances to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — free of azo dyes, formaldehyde, and allergenic disperse dyes.

The inner lining in three-dimensional honeycomb sandwich mesh — a two-layer spacer fabric in recycled high-performance polyester — allows air to circulate, regulates body temperature, and prevents coat and skin matting even during long walks. The padding zone is backed with soft neoprene foam that completely eliminates pressure points.

The straps are made from high-density nylon flat webbing with woven-in 3M Scotchlite reflective threads — the same reflective material used in safety vests for road construction. Visibility in the dark is not a feature; it is a responsibility.

Construction & Function

The saddle principle distributes every pulling force evenly across the chest and shoulder area — the cervical spine remains completely relieved. Four independent micro-adjustment buckles allow millimeter-precise fitting to any body shape, whether a slender Siamese or a full-bodied Maine Coon.

The two D-rings in aerospace-grade aluminum (Aviation-Grade 6061-T6) are anodized, saltwater-resistant, and tested to a breaking load of 176 lbs (80 kg) — many times more than even the strongest cat could ever exert. The multi-layer saddle stitch at the attachment points is sewn on the principle of double redundancy: two independent seam lines secure every critical point.

The quick-release safety buckles in glass fiber-reinforced polyamide PA66 — known from medical devices and climbing equipment — can be opened with one hand but are constructed to be escape-proof against independent opening by the cat. Putting on and taking off takes seconds.

Sustainability & Safety

The polyester mesh lining is made from GRS-certified recycled PET bottles — each harness corresponds to the recycling of approximately four plastic bottles. All dyes are REACH-compliant and produced without the use of heavy metals or halogenated compounds. For pet owners who care not just about their animal, but about the planet too.

Care

Hand wash at 86°F (30°C) with pH-neutral detergent. Do not spin dry, do not tumble dry. Clean the aluminum D-rings and buckles with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and dry thoroughly. With proper care, this harness will accompany your cat for many years.
