A miniaturized sofa with solid beech legs, a deeply textured long-pile plush cover, and a removable, washable inner cushion. A piece of furniture you do not push into a corner, but deliberately place. Because a cat who sleeps on your sofa every day deserves to have one built for her.

Material & Craftsmanship

The supporting frame is made from solid beech wood (Fagus sylvatica) — one of the hardest and most stable European hardwoods, well known from furniture production for chairs, tables, and beds. The legs have a diameter of 2 cm — not thin designer legs that give way under weight, but solid solid-wood posts tested to a load capacity of up to 30 lbs (14 kg). The wood is sealed with a natural, water-based clear lacquer (low-VOC) — no solvent odor, no off-gassing indoors.

The outer cover is made from long-pile high-pile plush (pile length approx. 5 cm / 2 in) — a densely woven polyester microfiber fabric with an upright, soft pile. This texture imitates the natural fur of many animal species and instinctively triggers the urge in cats to snuggle in and knead. The cover is pulled over the entire frame and removable — for easy machine washing at 86°F (30°C).

The seat cushion in hypoallergenic hollow fiber fill (Oeko-Tex Standard 100) is separately removable and also machine washable at 86°F (30°C) — animal-free, shape-stable, and non-clumping even after repeated washing.

Design & Function

The elevated sleeping position at 8 in (20 cm) seat height keeps the cat off the cold floor while allowing free air circulation beneath the sofa — cooling in summer, warming in winter through thermal insulation from the ground. Cats prefer elevated sleeping positions for instinctive reasons — they provide a better overview of the room and a feeling of security. The high backrest and armrests offer leaning surfaces for cats who seek body contact with a surface while sleeping.

Safety & Quality

The plush cover is tested for over 100 harmful substances to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — free of azo dyes, formaldehyde, and allergenic disperse dyes. The beech wood is tested for heavy metals and wood preservatives — free of chromium, arsenic, and other regulated substances. The wood joints are glued and screwed — no creaking, no wobbling, no giving way under weight. Load capacity tested to 30 lbs (14 kg).

Assembly & Care

Assembly in under 10 minutes — all connections are pre-fabricated, screws and Allen key included. Machine wash the cover and cushion separately at 86°F (30°C) — gentle cycle, phosphate-free detergent. Air dry only. Fluff the long-pile cover by hand after washing to restore the pile structure. Dust the beech wood frame occasionally with a dry cloth.
