Its monogram canvas deliberately references the great tradition of European travel luggage culture — a time when travel had dignity and luggage had character. The difference: this bag is for a companion with four paws. Beige genuine leather appliqués, red edge piping, gold-tone hardware — a bag that would look at home in any boutique.

Material & Craftsmanship

The outer material is coated jacquard canvas — a tightly woven cotton-polyester blend fabric with a printed monogram motif and a protective PVC coating on the exterior. This construction — known from classic luxury luggage production — is water-repellent, scratch-resistant, shape-stable, and easy to care for. The coating is tested for harmful substances under the REACH Regulation and is free of plasticizers (phthalate-free).

The trim elements — carry handles, corner appliqués, and the front flap — are made from natural untreated full-grain cowhide leather (Vachetta quality), processed undyed and untreated. This leather develops a unique, individual honey patina through sunlight and touch — a living material that becomes more beautiful over time. The red edge piping is made from textile cotton tape and precisely sewn in — a craftsmanship detail with its origins in bespoke tailoring.

The inner lining in woven jacquard polyester is soft, dirt-repellent, and fully wipeable. The reinforced hard plastic base (ABS) gives the bag stable footing on any surface — no tipping, no deforming.

Hardware & Fittings

All fittings — zipper pulls, D-rings, dome rivets, and buckles — are made from zinc die-cast with electroplated gold finish (24-karat plating). Electroplated gold zinc alloy is the same hardware technique used in the jewelry and accessories industry for lasting gold appearance — corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and permanently colored. The double zippers on the top opening run on a YKK-compatible track and can be opened with one hand.

Design & Function

The side mesh window in fine-weave polyester mesh ensures optimal ventilation and gives the dog a clear view — without the feeling of being confined. The leather front flap with gold dome rivet opens the window completely or closes it discreetly — depending on the need and mood of the dog. The top zipper entry allows relaxed entry and exit; the side access makes placing the dog easier. The integrated metal safety hook inside attaches to a harness and prevents escape when the bag is opened.

Safety & Quality

All materials are tested for harmful substances under the REACH Regulation — phthalate-free, free of azo dyes and heavy metals. The double-stitched full-grain leather carry handles are tested to a carrying capacity of 17.6 lbs (8 kg). Suitable for small dog breeds up to approximately 11 lbs (5 kg).

Care

Wipe the canvas exterior with a slightly damp cloth — do not soak. Keep the Vachetta leather appliqués away from water — the undyed leather will permanently absorb water marks. If needed, wipe with a dry cloth and condition with a colorless beeswax-based leather balm. Polish the gold fittings with a dry microfiber cloth.
