The hemispherical space capsule window in high-impact PC polycarbonate gives the cat a 180° panoramic view of everything passing by — streets, parks, faces, birds. Material & Craftsmanship

The backpack body is made from 600D Oxford polyester — a tightly woven high-performance fabric with a 600 denier thread count, water-repellent, abrasion-resistant, and shape-stable. The outer surface is sealed with a PU coating (polyurethane) — dirt-repellent, easy to care for, and tested under the REACH Regulation to be free of plasticizers (phthalate-free). The structured linen-look finish gives the backpack a textile warmth that sets it visually apart from smooth plastic carriers.

The hemispherical window is made from 3 mm PC polycarbonate (bisphenol-A-free formulation) — the same material used in motorcycle helmet visors and optical protective screens. It is impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, UV-stabilized, and optically clear without distortion. The connection between window and body is sealed with a surrounding TPE sealing lip (thermoplastic elastomer) — no water entry in rain, no draft effect in winter.

Ventilation & Climate Comfort

Eight circular ventilation portholes with punched stainless steel eyelets (304 stainless steel) — four on each side — ensure continuous air circulation inside. The eyelets are smoothly polished and burr-free — no chafing against coat or paws. The inner lining in 3D air mesh fabric — a two-layer spacer fabric — keeps the interior temperature-regulated and prevents body heat from building up even during longer outings. The PC polycarbonate window is equipped with a UV-400 absorber — it filters out over 99% of ultraviolet radiation and protects your cat's sensitive eyes and skin from sun damage, even under direct sunlight.

Carrying Comfort & Ergonomics

The S-shaped shoulder straps in high-tenacity polypropylene webbing are padded with 3D air mesh neoprene (15 mm thickness) — the same material used in orthopedic backpacks for hikers. The ergonomic curvature of the straps follows the natural shoulder contour and distributes weight evenly — no fatigue even on longer walks. The integrated safety hook inside in coated steel attaches to a cat harness and prevents escape when the backpack is opened.

Safety & Quality

All materials are tested for harmful substances under the REACH Regulation — phthalate-free, free of azo dyes and heavy metals. The PC polycarbonate window is BPA-free — no plasticizer migration into the interior. The YKK zippers on the top and side openings run smoothly and are tested to over 10,000 opening cycles. Suitable for cats and small dogs up to approximately 17.6 lbs (8 kg).

Care

Wipe the body with a slightly damp cloth — do not machine wash. Clean the PC window with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth — no abrasives or solvents, as these damage the scratch-resistant coating. Rinse the stainless steel eyelets with clean water and dry after contact with salt or dirt.
