Aurex Full-Body Dog Rain Coat — 3-Layer TPU Membrane, Fleece Lining

Short-haired dogs — Greyhounds, Whippets, Dobermans, Weimaraners — have no natural protective coat against rain and cold. A standard back coat protects the back but leaves the belly, legs, and chest completely exposed. The Aurex Full-Body Rain Coat closes this gap entirely: four leg sleeves, closed belly coverage, high neck collar, thermally sealed seams. Dry from head to paw — in any weather, on any terrain.

Material & Craftsmanship

The outer material is a 3-layer laminate made from 150D Oxford polyester with a laminated TPU membrane (thermoplastic polyurethane) — the same membrane technology used in professional rain gear for mountaineers and sailors. The microporous TPU layer allows water vapor (body moisture) to escape outward while physically blocking raindrops — the dog stays dry from the outside and inside.

The outer surface is treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish (Durable Water Repellency) tested to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — raindrops bead off, dirt barely adheres. All seams are thermally sealed with PU seam tape (tape-sealed) — no water entry through needle holes, no capillary effect along the seam line. The brushed anti-pilling polyester fleece lining (200 g/m²) sits directly against the coat — soft, pilling-resistant, and heat-retaining without added weight.

Design & Function

The full-body cut with four leg sleeves fully protects the back, belly, chest, and all four legs from rain and mud. The leash opening on the back allows leash attachment without removing the coat — no undressing in the rain, no wet fur. The adjustable velcro closures at the neck and belly using cold-resistant YKK velcro allow stress-free on and off in seconds. 3M Scotchlite reflective strips on the back and sides provide visibility during evening walks and in poor light conditions — passive, permanent, no batteries required.

Safety & Quality

All materials are tested for over 100 harmful substances to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — free of azo dyes, formaldehyde, and allergenic disperse dyes. The DWR finish is fluorocarbon-free — no PFAS compounds, no bioaccumulation. The coat is designed for dogs with sensitive, short skin — no chafing, no digging in, no rubbing at the leg sleeves.

Measuring Guide

Measure the neck circumference (around the neck), chest circumference (widest point of the chest behind the front legs), and back length (from center of neck to base of tail). When between sizes, choose the larger size.

Care

Hand wash at 86°F (30°C) with mild, phosphate-free detergent. Air dry only — no dryer, as heat permanently damages the TPU membrane and DWR finish. Do not iron. After several washes, refresh the DWR finish with an Oeko-Tex certified waterproofing spray.
